Let's Play!

While Argonne and the Argonne PTO do not have any official sports teams as part of the curriculum, we strongly encourage parents and caregivers in creating teams and joining leagues. (Almost each of the grades 1-5 have a parent-run soccer and baseball team.) All sports teams are volunteer-led and we hope by sharing this basic information, families eager to join a team sport will rally other caregivers to organize, recruit and coach a team! 

Basic Guidelines
  • All sports teams are organized and coached by parent/caregiver volunteers (make sure to have a parent/caregiver volunteer to coach)
  • Teams can join a local league (see below for an example of various leagues available)
  • Recruiting players: reach out to all students in your particular grade level via Konstella or class emails
  • Spots on teams are limited, but you can always create additional teams if there are parents/caregivers who can volunteer their time to facilitate weekly practices and weekend games!​
