On behalf of Dr. Levison, Staff, the entire Parent-teacher organization (PTO), and Wolfie, we are delighted to have your family at Argonne. Soon you’ll find that you are part of an incredibly involved school, with caring and talented teachers and staff, and a supportive engaged parent community.

Get Connected

1. Activate your ParentVUE account to access report cards, update contact information, and receive SFUSD and school communication from our Principal
2. Register for Konstella to join your child’s classroom and to receive the latest PTO info, along with being able to message other Argonne families directly. You'll also get our monthly newsletter, The Argonne Howler (all parents are automatically members of our PTO - woohoo!).​​

New Students: Tips for the First Day of School

1. Classroom assignments: Those are posted on the front door of the school the week before start of the new school year. You can also reach out to our wonderful school secretary, Ms Sara Coffey.
   
   
2. School Materials: You don't need anything specific for the first day. Your classroom teacher will tell you on your first day what belongs in your kid's backpack, such as folders, pencils, erasers, scissors, and ruler.
   
   
3. Arrival: We encourage families to walk to school and get there early, as there is limited parking. TK and Kindergarteners will enter the schoolyard at the 17th Ave gates, at the corner of Cabrillo. If you have to drive to school, please use Stop, Drop & Go.
   
   
4. Morning Clap-in: We will begin the day on the yard for our “Clap-In” morning assembly at 7:50am. All families are welcome to stay for the assembly to help celebrate the start of our new school year. During the first week of school, we will host a Clap-In morning assembly every day. After the first week of school, the Clap-In morning assembly will only occur on Mondays and Fridays, with a school-wide assembly in the multipurpose room (MPR) on the first Friday of the month. During the assembly, principal Dr. Levison will welcome all children and make important announcements, representatives from the Parent-Teacher-Organization might talk about upcoming events, and students perform an Argonne school ritual.
   
   
5. Coffee Klatch: On the First Friday of every month, except when school is not in session, principal Dr. Levison invites all Argonne parents & caretakers to our Monthly Coffee Klatches after the morning clap-in.
   
   
6. School Lunch: School lunch and breakfast is free for all, but your child can bring a lunch if that is preferred.
   
   
7. Dismissal: Parents/guardians will wait at the Kindergarten Yard entrance on 18th Ave for pick-up. TK and all other grades will get picked up from the 17th Ave gates.
   
   
8. Back to School Night: The first few weeks of each school year are for the classes and teachers to get to know each other. On Back to School Night, to which all parents and caregivers are invited (childcare is provided by the PTO), you'll learn everything about your child's teacher and the upcoming school year.
