Bell Schedule

Daily Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:50am - 2:05pm
Wednesday: 7:50am - 12:50pm (early dismissal)

For pick-up and drop-off, please do not double park on our neighborhood streets and do not park in the bus zone on Cabrillo.

Arrival

Plan ahead and arrive early! The yard opens at 7:30am. All perimeter doors and gates at Argonne are locked from 7:50am – 2:05pm (Wednesdays from 7:50am-12:50pm). During school hours, please ring the bell on the 18th Ave entrance to enter.

Students are considered tardy after 7:51am. If you arrive after classes have gone inside, students must check in with the front office.

Stop, Drop & Go (SDG)
If you are dropping off your student(s) in a car:
  • Drive up 17th Ave, between Balboa and Cabrillo.
  • Stay on 17th Ave – do not pull into the white zone, you will have a hard time getting back out.
  • An SDG parent volunteer will step onto the street to open your door.
  • Do not get out of your car; we will take care of getting your child out and onto the yard.

Please note:
  • No passing on 17th Ave – we need to keep our neighborhood safe and sane!
  • No car drop offs on Cabrillo.
  • No car drop offs on 18th Ave.

Dismissal

Students attending an onsite after school program should go directly to the following locations for check-in:
  • CASP: Main Yard outside of 1st grade classrooms
  • TRNC: Main Yard outside on the Kickball field
  • YMCA: Multipurpose Room

Students taking Special Education or after school busses will go to the Cabrillo Ave gate.

Students being picked up by a parent or caregiver, will go to the following areas to meet their adult:
  • Kindergarten students are dismissed from the Kindergarten Yard on 18th Ave.
  • 1st-5th graders are dismissed from the 17th Ave gate.

Please be safe and DO NOT double park on 17th Ave or 18th Ave.

Absences

If your child is going to miss school, please email your child's teacher and cc Principal Catingub. You may call the school at 415.750.8460 or email sch435@sfusd.edu.

It is important that the front office is aware of all student absences, and
this is especially important if the absence is due to Covid-19 close contact concerns, Covid symptoms, or positive test results.

See the Student Handbook for Excused Absences. All absences must be reported to the front office.

Meals

School meals are free for all SFUSD students starting in the 2021-2022 school year.
Save time and money by having your children take advantage of free school meals! Their participation keeps Federal funds here in San Francisco and supports the meal program to improve and expand. Monthly menus are available here.

Meals are provided in the multi-purpose room:
  • Breakfast: 7:30-7:50am
  • Lunch: Even if you bring lunch from home, grab a free milk, fruit and vegetable to round out your plate!

If you are sending your child with a snack or lunch, keep in mind our district and school healthy foods guidelines and choose alternatives to soda, candy, or chips. Also, we are asking that all families avoid sending nuts and nut products as we have several students with severe nut allergies.
