Annual Events at Argonne
Argonne Back to School BYO-Picnic (August 2, 2025, 10am-1pm)
Rustle up those sandwiches, stock that cooler, grab that blanket and come flop with Argonne friends old and new at Mothers Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Kids can romp in the grass and play some ball while parents hang out.
Summer Stroll (August 22, 2025)
Join us to celebrate the first week of school! All classes will get to walk around the block along with their grade and visit with our very own San Francisco Fire Department. Families and friends – please help us line the block and cheer our students along!
Lower-Grade Potluck (August 29, 2025)
Big meet up for the lower grades and a fun welcome to all our new families!
3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Overnights (various dates)
Upper grades get to have overnight stays in various places. It's an extended field trip that includes a slumber party with the entire class!

All are welcome, no RSVP required! Get to know your teachers and learn about the coming year.

Field Day (October 24, 2025)
Hellman Hollow, Golden Gate Park Field day is a fun day of sports and activities for all Argonne students. It’s the first official field trip of the year and is a great volunteer opportunity for parents/guardians. |

CASP Lunar New Year Celebration (March 2026)
Presented by the Argonne Chinese After School Program (CASP), the event is held in the MPR and includes Lion Dancers, student performances, games and a silent auction! |

Our annual spring fundraiser, Spring Fair is a day filled with games, thrilling activities, fun crafts, delicious food, local shopping, entertainment and so much more! Get your raffle tickets to win big and activity bracelets get you access to all the games and crafts.
The Parent Education Program (Ongoing)
Run by parent/caregiver volunteers and funded by the PTO, these speaker sessions are held at the school in the evenings, midweek, and are free. Free child care is provided at the school and dinner is offered at meetings when possible. Here is a list of past speaker topics:
